I LOVE Laurie Wisbrun's fabric and I have at least a little of all of her collections.  I was waiting and waiting to be able to find her full collection of Jack and Jenny somewhere (I could only find bits and pieces) and now I am on a self-imposed fabric buying hiatus (I don't want my husband's head to explode) so I guess I will have to daydream about it . . .

30 Quilts for 30 Years Bloghop and Giveaway

A few months ago I was asked to help celebrate Kona's 30th birthday by making a quilt.  The people over at Robert Kaufman are really great and also brilliant because this celebration resulted in some unique and amazing quilts.  You can follow along with the bloghop from November 1st to December 3rd to find out more about each one. When I was sketching out designs for a quilt, I decided that I wanted to focus on the variety of Kona shades that are available. I also wanted to make a quilt that was not too difficult because I knew that it was going to be available as a free pattern and I wanted it to be accessible to quilters of all skill levels.
