WIP Wednesday
1. I have spent most of my time finishing up my Scrappy Trip Along quilt. I have to admit, even though I was reluctant to start this one, it has really turned into one of my all time favorite quilts. I have never made a scrap quilt before and I really like seeing so many fabrics in the same place. I made this for my nephew, but at this point I am afraid that I might keep it :)
The quilt top is done and the quilting is 90% done.I decided to go with the zig zag layout, which I think is a lot of fun, and then I have quilted along the diagonal echoing the zig zag shape. Please forgive the iphone photo, this is layout that I went with, although it was taken a few steps ago.
2. My other WIP is my + and x quilt which I didn't touch this week. Hopefully that will change soon!
Beautiful! All of it! Good for you for doing your own quilting. The x and + blocks are fabulous. I just started some of those using Comma
ReplyDeleteReally liking that zig zag layout!
ReplyDeleteI love both these WIP's! Your scraps for the trip along are awesome, so vintage feeling! And I've got an x + quilt in progress I haven't touched in forever so you're not along there! Lovely stuff, I'll be following along :) here from Freshly Pieced.
ReplyDeleteI love your layout of the trip around the world, very pretty!
ReplyDeletelove these, and I want to do exactly what you are - scrappy trip along and x and plus. SO enamored with them both right now!
ReplyDeleteEeek! I love! Thanks for linking up. : )
ReplyDeleteYour scrappy trip looks great!
ReplyDeleteWhen is a scrappy quilt MORE than a scrappy quilt? When it is crafted by you!
ReplyDeleteI love your + and x quilt so far. The colors are lovely and Im loving the florals in it. Its going to be gorgeous when it is all finished!
ReplyDeleteI love both. What a great use of scraps.
ReplyDeleteYour x & + blocks are my favorites yet! I love your happy, colorful style.
