Blogger's Quilt Festival Spring 2013: Bangles Quilt

As soon as I found out that Sarah Fielke had a new book coming out, I preordered a copy on Amazon.  It does not disappoint.  I pretty much want to make every quilt in the book, so when I saw that Amanda was starting a banglealong on Instagram (check out #banglealong to see photos) I started picking fabric.

I made this quilt for my niece who is 7, so I wanted something girly and just a little spunky.  All of those y-seams were a bit of a challenge, but they were definitely worth it and now they don't seam so scary anymore :)  I used the gray crosshatch print from Architextures for the hexagons, it is such a great print!

I backed the quilt with one of my favorite prints from Lotta Jansdotter's Echo collection.

Finished size: 53"x57"
Pattern: From Sarah Fielke's Hand Quilted with Love
Quilted by: me
Category: throw quilt

Thanks for taking the time to check out my quilt, I can't wait to see what everyone else has to share!
