This is great! I was trying to figure out how to make it before I scrolled all the way down and saw that it's a Moda Bake Shop recipe - perfect! It's lovely - thanks so much!
A few weeks ago RJR Fabrics contacted me to see if I was interested with working on a project using their solids. I checked out their colors and was pretty smitten so I said yes. And they exceeded my expectations. I mixed them in with some of the prints from Rashida Coleman Hale's new Mochi collection . Since Cotton + Steel is actually a division of RJR fabrics, the RJR solids coordinate perfectly with the collections. The RJR Cotton Supreme Solids have a great selection of pinks (I think good pinks are the hardest to find) and my favorite is actually the neutral-y brown Driftwood color that I used for the binding. It might not be cool to love brown, but I do, and Driftwood (color 297) will be filling a void in my stash. The quilt looks more complicated than it actually is: each of the diamonds is made up of 2 triangles (so there are no y-seams) and I cut the fabric with my favorite triangle ruler . I didn't want the quiltin...
Today I would like to welcome a new sponsor - Quilt Sandwich ! I love that this shop has a selection that varies from basics to Japanese imports to really fun fabrics that are just begging to be used as a quilt backing . The owners are also awesome and they are going to give us a little intro to their great shop. Quilt Sandwich Fabrics was started by Kris and Becca, two fabric-obsessed sisters who love to quilt! We started our shop on Etsy in 2008 and we now have over 1,000 bolts of high-quality, fun fabric. Some of our favorite fabric designers and companies are Cotton + Steel, Carolyn Friedlander, Denyse Schmidt, Anna Maria Horner, Amy Butler, Kaffe Fassett, Alexander Henry, and Art Gallery Fabrics. We also carry patterns for quilts and bags and pretty ribbons. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and have received great feedback from our customers. We take care to ship your order quickly and package it nicely. We always have discount codes to save you mo...
