yes, I'm still alive

And in San Diego!  My husband's new job is now officially official and he started today.  We are buying a house (yay!) that will have a sewing room (yay again!) but until we can close on the house, we are spending some quality family time together in a 400-ish square foot hotel room.  We will close on the house (hopefully) next week.

For now we are just spending some time exploring the city.  I really love San Diego and it is so nice to not constantly have to worry about traffic and parking.  We miss LA though.  Especially our friends.

I also miss my sewing machine which is currently being serviced.  I figured that it might as well get a checkup since I can't use it right now.

Instead I am working on some hand quilting, catching up on Netflix, and making my kids pose for photos (sorry for the non-quilting related photos, but aren't they cute?).  I have fallen hopelessly behind on blog reading and comment replying.  Hopefully I will be back soon!

  5. It took me about a month and a half after moving into the new house to catch up! I spent so much time and energy unpacking and redoing the sewing room that doing blog stuff just didn't happen. The photos of your kids are beautiful! We are in Oceanside this week, and will make a couple of trips to San Diego, yay!
