Fabric Sale and a Giveaway
I am excited to share a great sale and giveaway from my sponsor FabricCadabra.
All sale items are 25% off, and the sale section is full of pretty fabrics. It includes a couple of my absolute favorite prints right now: this Priory Square print and this Glimma print and lots of other gorgeous fabrics.
Also, FabricCadabra is offering a fat quarter bundle Amy Butler's new fabric line Violette in the Flourish colorway.
To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment on this post. You can just say hi or, if you are feeling really helpful, I would love a baby name suggestion because we are a little clueless what we are going to name this baby boy in a few short weeks!
If you would like a second entry, follow FabricCadabra on Facebook and leave me a second comment letting me know.
And be sure to check out giveaways at FabricCadabra's other sponsors: Modern Handcraft and SewTakeAHike.
The giveaway will remain open until Friday May 1st at 5pm PST. Thank you so much for entering!

ReplyDeleteMy son's names are Ben and Daniel! These names have served them well! I teach boys- would you like a class list??! ;-))
ReplyDeleteMy boys are named David and Thomas. I like really classic names. My advice is to go with your gut. Thomas didn't have a name for a few days after he was born (he surprised us nearly two months early!), but I ended up naming him the first name that popped into my mind when I saw him. It's a perfect fit! Wishing you health & happiness!
ReplyDeleteGood luck picking a name! I really like Felix and Sylvester

ReplyDeletePretty fabrics! How about Kaffe,LOL?
ReplyDeleteBoy names, those are hard! I found 2, but I wanted to stick to my heritage and picked Dutch names. I guess they'd translate to Tony & Abraham (shortened version)
ReplyDeletePersonally I like short names and always keep in mind that with cute names, it's the problem that the boys are very likely to change into big, muscley man soon enough...
I'm not helpful. Congrats though, I'm sure you'll find a great name that'll suit you guys! <3 Read books, think of favourite actors, musicians or writers if you have to.
Kurt perhaps? ;)
Good luck on selecting a name!!!!

Hi from California! Gorgeous fabric!
ReplyDeleteI like classic names and names that are not too long.
ReplyDelete(one has to print them with their last name on every paper-- first grade on)
so I like alex, micheal , david, joseph.

Hi from central Illinois. I love the name Bailey it can be a boy or girl name. It is my maiden name.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI like Hugh for a quilter! (HUE)
Love the fabric.
ReplyDeleteChoosing a name is very hard. Choose a definite boy name and a definite given name, not something that could be given or surname. Call him by his first name. Using a middle name causes lots of confusion. My husband goes by his middle name, but when filling out documents, etc. his first name is used. Sometimes people look at me like I don't know who I'm married to. LOL.
I like Jaxon and Levi.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric! If either of our girls had been a boy, his name would have been Ethan.

ReplyDeleteHi from Western Washington! In terms of a baby name, you can never go wrong with the classics. I think the social security website has a list of most popular baby names through the years, and the ones from the 80's and earlier are nice & traditional :) Thanks for the chance to win! mto2golsen at gmail dot com

Hi, good luck with the new baby. Love the rest of your posts, especially the rattlesnake!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty bundle. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLovely giveaway! We have the name William in our family, but everyone goes by Bill, BJ, or Larry. No kidding, really. I think today, though, you have to know if you want the name to be google-able; should it be unique enough to come up on the search engine or do you want it generic enough that he can't be found? Sad, but I think very true!
ReplyDeletePretty fabric. As far as a name, do you want a family name or something totally different? a common or unique name? something from your heritage? Good luck!
ReplyDelete24Tangent@gmail.com
Thanks for the giveaway. Boy names: Julian, Frederick (Freddie) or Edward
ReplyDeleteBoy names are hard! We didn't make a definite decision until after our most recent little guy was born, we found agreeing on a name was the hardest part. If I liked a name my hubby didn't and visa versa! Plus when you have older siblings you want it to sound good with their names-if they are classic, trendy, etc. a few names I really like William (Will or Liam), Oliver, Elliot, Alexander (Alex or Xander),
ReplyDeleteI already follow FabricCadrabra on fb
ReplyDeleteI am due at the same time as you and kept the gender a surprise. We are leaning towards Owen or Alexander if it's a boy.
ReplyDeleteFrederick, Theodore, Bruce, Charlie, Henry. That was my list 10 months ago and we went with Theo. Good luck!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd also I love the name George! I would use it if it wasn't already my husband's name and if our last name wasn't bush :) And I follow fabric cadabra on fb
ReplyDeleteWe named our second boy Garrett, but the first runner up was Elijah. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSince I don't know you, or know anything about you besides your obvious love of sewing, how about a name like: Gingham, Corduroy, or Denim? Or something more subtle, like after a favorite fabric brand or designer?
