This week was the first week in the
Fussy Cut Sampler QAL. I decided to join in because it has been so long since I did a quilt along. A couple years ago I really enjoyed the
Lucky Stars BOM and then I made an attempt at the
Farmer's Wife quilt, but the blocks had so many tiny pieces that I got sick of it.

Block 1 |
The blocks in this book are nice because there aren't a lot of tiny pieces, and they focus on trying to get the most visual impact from each fabric.
 |
Block 2 |
I tend to be a little careless about directional fabrics, but this has made me think a little bit more about how fabrics are presented.

Block 3 |
If you are on Instagram, you can find blocks made by other people participating in the QAL with the hashtag #thefussycutsamplerqal.

Block 4 |
It's not too late to join in! The QAL will be making 4 blocks each week and each week has different prizes.
